I think there are two kinds of pleasure.
1) Short-term pleasure which possibly and most likely leads to unpleasure in the long run. This is the kind that most people “submit” to. Be it smoking a cigarette, taking a shot of heroin, eating a cheeseburger (or other crap), energy leeching relationships, etc.
2) Long term pleasure which is something that most probably don’t ever experience. This might require some actions that may not seem so pleasurable to begin with e.g. starting exercise, changing addictive/destructive eating habits, quitting your shitty job, etc.
I actually think that those in the first categories stop being pleasures at some point. They are mostly illusionary. Those evil demons inside our minds try to control us knowing that if we get control of them, they seize to exist! In the end, if it is not good for you = don’t do it. Simple rule.
The ultimate pleasure is supreme health and fitness because when our minds and bodies are working optimally, we are free, powerful and feel at home on this beautiful planet. When this happens, all is possible!
Now, I don’t need a scientist to validate this statement for me nor do I need to see the results of some experiment or read a book about it. There is a deep logic to it that rings true once enough clutter has been removed from our poisoned minds and once you fully understand the reasoning behind it. The pursuit of this ultimate pleasure may certainly seem like a lonely dark road to begin with (which is where I am now) but I can feel it in every last inch of my being that once that mountain is climbed and the top reached, the view will be quite something. That knowledge also makes it a bit less dark and lonely.
Even if we never get to the top of that mountain I have no doubt that the “pleasures” which that journey may bring e.g. meeting amazing people, mastery of self, superior intellect, etc will make everything worth the small price we pay to get on the path.
Have a nice day folks and enjoy every moment.
Peace, love & sunshine
