Thailand

Gave all my stuff away and left the last of it at an airport somewhere because where we were going was +40 and monsoon season. Thailand! And the big earthquake had just hit Nepal so we couldn’t go there.

I couldn’t use my right hand at all anymore for micro movements like guitar, writing, brushing teeth, cutting things, etc (now fully healed but it took 5 years until i even got a proper diagnosis).

So thought maybe the warm weather would help. And rest. It didn’t and i couldn’t rest long from the writing so i learned to write with my left hand. Now i am ambi dextreous and can think with all parts of my brain. There is no separation between the hemispheres. Which means i’m basically tripping 24/7. Fun times. Especially when driving! Haha

Full time idiot genius madman.

We explored the country with my estonian goddess and she took photos and made drawings while i wrote and grumpstered around the cities and beaches and bamboo huts missing my guitar and watching the lizards watching us nude and sweaty. Those little bastards were everywhere and protected us from spider demons. We ate incredible fruits and made love in the jungles.

Spent a few months there but didnt have enough money to stay longer. We could’ve taught english or something.

Honestly i cannot remember why we ever came back.

Europe is home i guess. I love Finland too. The people here are so friendly and happy. And our LEGENDARY school system… lol

Thailand is so full of life it is hard to describe. The joy and beauty there is something else. The poverty. Of course you find it everywhere once we remove the blinders. Nobody is more poor than the rich man who feels like nothing.

We had a blog called Travelling Fast and Slow. She gave me permission to share these and to tell you this. Well kind of. Poetic license. Thanks my love. You are amazing. Sorry i was so impossible. ♥️

Will share more tomorrow…

We met some beautiful beings in Thailand. Like this little fella. He was really excited to see us and come play! Who are these white people?

The heart breaks as it opens

And then this wizard jacket we found at a marketplace. Still have it although it doesnt fit me anymore. I was 15kg lighter back then. Militant Vegan nutter. Had my gymnastic rings with me to stay fit. I still love fruit when it is fresh and local.

Another highlight was spending a few weeks in Plum Village, a buddhist community by the zen master Thich Nhat Hanh. What a place! The food was incredible. I want to go back someday. It was not easy… On one day i needed a break and found an empty building and watched Game of Thrones on my laptop. Those sexy buddhist nuns tho… Wow. My impure viking conqueror thoughts were sometimes getting the best of me.

Something i am still working on…

And then we came back to Europe but somehow left something precious behind in Thailand that i still long for.

Something that cannot be found here in the hyper stability of western culture. They want what we have and we go away to escape whatever that is but then miss it.

East, west, north, south

These are just directions, not destinations.

I belong nowhere, going somewhere
