SNOWSTORM

My favorite single moment of the year is when it snows for the first time to mark a new winter. So I don’t mean the snow in the beginning of the year. That is not as magical. Although perhaps if I was released from prison, it would be. But then anything would be, unless you wanted to stay there. So I suppose it’s about the novelty of it. And novelty seems to rebirth itself again and again even if it’s the same thing. Like an old Nirvana album. Do you ever miss sad moments in your life? Like driving in a car with someone you were falling in love with but with whom things ended badly and you kind of new it was already over. There was this confusion and distance but you were still together and driving far away from everything. Disintegration. I miss that feeling of love fading away. It’s terrible but beautiful because it’s still there struggling for life and you are trying to hold on too, knowing it’s too late now. Cars are the second best places to have deep conversations. The first is of course the sauna. Which is one of the only places these days where people don’t have phones. I remember many years ago, Nokia made this phone that even worked in a sauna. You could put it in the freezer. You could drive over it with a truck. It was indestructible. My cousin had one. We tested all of those things to make sure. It wasn’t a smart phone but it sure was strong! I am watching the new Kaufman movie while eating dinner (macaroni with soy mince, cherry tomatoes, spices, jalopenos, olives and coconut milk as a sauce). And then I started thinking about snow because it was snowing in the movie and they were in a car. When inspiration strikes, you gotta write/create because it also fades away and what a terrible tragedy that is. One day you will miss all the things that ever happened to you and realise how you would do anything to go back. One last time. The pros say you should have photos in your blogs. I don’t want photos with my writing because it kills the imagination. And this is not a FUCKING CHILDREN’S BOOK. Thanks for reading. Love, VV
