This is from a business forum I was a member of.
Been here for a few weeks now. Biggest thing I’ve learned so far is this (and I am still learning it because I keep on forgetting):
People don’t care about you or your product when it comes to buying things online. Buying is different from likes and comments and subscribes, anyone can get those. Buying is skin in the game.
They buy the RESULT they want and you help them get. Focus on that. Focus on them. Keep remembering when you forget (note to self).
The other day I was talking with Ted and said I am worried that nobody will be my stupid product or I have no followers or my product won’t be good enough and blablablaa.
He said you’re right because they are not buying your product.
They are buying the RESULT your product will give them.
In this sense, business becomes a spiritual game. And this is probably why most people fail at it. You can be all narcissist me me me once you have the money sure. Dream house on the beach and ladedadidaa. But it won’t help you sell because nobody cares about you. They care about the RESULT.
RESULTS.
Nothing else matters.
(I am already forgetting so need to re-read my post for myself because I am like a stubborn mule in the middle of the road and my higher self wants to get past).
EAT FRUIT AND PROSPER!
Your job is to get results for people. Focus on that. People buy RESULTS. Go ALL IN on that. Quantify it. Make them an offer they can’t refuse. Overdeliver. Overpromise. Lightning bolt marketing because most people are the walking dead, looking for hope and something to make them feel alive again. Business becomes this spiritual game of serve and feed. Most people (including me) get it wrong and blame the machine. The machine is beautiful.
RESULTS.
Nothing else matters.
