DAY 1 (april 1, 2010)
* testing sounds to decided which mic to use for vocals and acoustic guitar and learn about the different sounds I can get
* also testing to see if i’ll record with tube preamp or without it

– presonus inspire 1394 audio interface

– AKG K271 mkII headphones
– E-MU xboard49
– Yamaha P90 electric piano
– Alvarez AD70 SC acoustic guitar
– Ville Tyyster custom made strat

i’ll put both through the preamp because i think they sound better with it (i cmpared)
+ i’ll use the SCT800 to get the room sound from farther which i’ll then decide later if i’ll use it or not
I’m done for today.
Tomorrow start recording. I’ll record live guitar vocal take together and add everything else on top of that. That will be the basic tracks for most songs except the more difficult ones where i’ll do everything separate.
i also still gotta test out piano sounds which i’ll do tomorrow. (acoustic piano vs digital piano vs the piano sounds on garageband… i think i’ll use different sounds… i’ll probably use different mics occasionally for different songs on voc and guitar as well.)
