poem

the last days before sunshine invades
she’s got more bark then bite
after this one, you are on your own
warm glow fills your bones
into reverse cowgirl? she whisepered in my ear
i said i’m into things that would make gods shiver
a million drinks later
flashbacks flash forward and leave me flashing blue
somewhere in texas
all the faces had changed
i had been stuck in between jobs
for centuries
otherwise known as poetry
a good excuse to do nothing
just stare at walls and observe people in cafes and bars
called her from a payphone
with my new cowboy suit on
she picked me up from 400 km away
with a bottle of knob creek
and kill em all playing on repeat
by the time i came back to my senses
she was wearing a cat suit
