(For music schools)
I am a musician from Finland who has been playing music for his whole life. I have recorded hundreds of songs, played hundreds of shows in bands and solo. In 2007 I recorded my first proper album “Lions”, which I sold at shows and through my website. Recently, I travelled around England, U.S.A and Ireland for three years gathering experience and honing my craft. My instruments are voice, guitar & piano all of which I play at a high level and continue to practice daily. I hope to reach virtuosic level on all three instruments within my lifetime. Regardless of my love and passion for playing/practicing my instruments, I still consider myself first and foremost a songwriter. My instrumental abilities are my tools. Music is my art form. I am it’s channel. I am currently recording my second album which will be released in September. It will be part of a three album series all to be released within the next year. It will undoubtedly be my most ambitious project so far. Until now, I have kept a low profile. I decided many years ago to be patient and consistent. I wanted to reach a certain playing level, become a strong live performer and play in various venues (I have played bars, clubs, cruise ships, street corners, coffee houses, hotels, parties, festivals and everything in between.). I also wanted to further develop my songwriting. I have met all of these goals although I know that each of them is an everlasting one. Throughout the years I have made mistakes and learned from them. I have had great times and at times I have struggled. I have lived, learned, loved and grown immensely not just a musician but a human being as well. It is inspiring to realize that all of this has been a prelude. Now it is time to begin. Now I’m ready to take my career to another level. I want to learn the skills needed to take my music to a bigger audience. I am interested in the marketing aspect and building a proper audience. I think the outline of your music course fills all my needs. On top of that, it is in London which is undoubtedly one of the best places to be for an ambitious musical artist such as myself. I am also excited about the potential of meeting like minded individuals such as myself. I want to begin with the foundation course because I always think it’s good to start from the most basic level possible when pursuing a new path. I am humble man, willing to learn what I
need to learn from teachers who are willing to teach me. I truly believe that I will enrich the learning environment that I have no doubt is already present at your school. I hope you accept my application and choose me as one of the students to enroll in the coming autumn of The British Academy’s Foundation Degree. I look forward to
