i am a man of science. i don’t believe in a god. i believe in nature. nature designed everything by a process called natural selection. the laws and patterns that guide everything we do from falling down to a developing fetus are not guided by some supernatural force. the earth is not a special place. yes, there is organic life here but i don’t think the other planets could give a fuck about that. if the earth disappeared, the universe will continue. there is no super nature. nature is the universe. the multiverse. there is so much magic and enigma in nature that i don’t understand how so many people have time or need for even the idea of a god. i think god was a word or concept that was created long ago to fill in the big void that science has filled in our day. there is still ultimate questions to be answered or perhaps to be forever unanswered. but as religion turns it’s back on the unanswered and makes false assumptions, science is down on it’s knees studying every grain of sand. i still wouldn’t call myself an atheist anymore than i would call myself a religious person. i don’t like ultimate terms such as that to define me. why do you need to declare yourself as someone who opposes something. why does there have to be a word for that? i am not a racist. i am not a communist. i am not a murderer. i am not a doctor. i am not religious. period. it is not necessary to say i am an antiracist. without man, religion and all faith based books/ideas simply don’t exist. i am sure that if the rest of the animal kingdom had the ability to be conscious and aware like humans, they would be laughing their asses of at us. every so often i am in constant need to scream my thoughts about this topic of science vs religion because so many people are living in some bubble, some fairytale. i am ignorant in many things but i am not ignorant in my ignorance. time to go to sleep and forget i gave into writing about this shit.
