i am not a scientist nor an expert in any particular scientific field. i also don’t have any academic credentials. all i know is what i’ve read, experienced and formulated with my own thoughts using logic and common sense. but i do think the scientific method is the best way to make sense of the world around us.
the method is simple and can be applied even by non-scientists into our day to day lives.

here is the method:
step 1. hypotheses (having a theory about something)
step 2. experiment (testing the validity of that theory)
step 3. analysis (studying the tests to determine conclusions about theory)
step 4. data (the results of the experiment)
of course to be accepted by the scientific community, an experiment must also be testable and provable by others to ensure that the data is objective and not just something that pertains to one circumstance with infinite variables.
ultimately, we can all become scientists. life is an experiment. our bodies and minds are laboratories. i also suggest educating oneself on the existing body of scientific knowledge to carry on the torch of those that came before us and possibly one day contribute to this knowledge base. it is also very empowering to learn about the world around us!

i also think there is a lot of nonsense science going on today that does very little in the way of improving life or extending our own capabilities (which is arguably the main task of technology). in fact, i question the significance of science which doesn’t prioritize the well being of our great planet earth and all it’s inhabitants. it’s unfortunate that science has not yet been applied to our social structure. instead we rely on outdated models of governance and economics that have no base in reality. in addition to that, our current societal model is at war with the natural processes which are necessary to preserve the kind of habitat which gives life to so many animals and plants including ourselves. such science (e.g. weapons) is the epitome of disrespect and dishonor towards that which connects us all; our true parent; the one and only god = nature.

we live in a society that is wasteful, human-centric, fragmentary minded, superficial, outcome obsessed and ego oriented. most people want money, power, possessions, pleasure, sex, drugs and they want it right now and they want more, more, and more. this can be seen all around. in the magazine covers, in the way people dress, in our political leaders and how they are elected, in the grocery store, in mainstream media, in movies, music, education, sports, in professions, in academics. but most of all in the sad, lonely, unaccepted, ugly faces of the beauty queens and the drama princesses and the suicide kings walking around like zombies and vampires. it is all around and the only way to deal with it is to be a force of love and truth. to shine like a bright star into the cold, dark abyss of modern life. people are trapped, imprisoned, abused and tortured with every moment that passes and keeps the knife at their throats. these people need all the help they can get! but helping is not easy when these same people think that life is great and that happiness is all about getting a paycheck, coming home to a nice white home to play with the kids and the dog and have a nice family dinner (while the world burns in invisible flames ie. billions of people starve, wars are fought, over 150 billion non-human animals are tortured and killed, etc).

the “nice life” way of living (school, work, marriage, kids, career, home, vacations, pets, retirement, grandkids, disease, death) is all an illusion (except the death part) as it is really not so “nice” when we look at it with our own eyes, think with our own minds and see the big picture! not what we were brainwashed to think and see. i say this kind of life is an illusion because the values upon which it stands are really values that are built on quick sand ie. no values at all. this is the conclusion i have arrived upon based on my own (scientific) in-the-field research; my own life!

if it wasn’t so, why would i say it was? not to sound too propagandhish…
but dear reader, i want to remind you that i want to help the world and help you! i want YOU to breathe clean air, to free your mind, to live equally, do what you love, be healthy and happy. but i also want you to want that for people who are not you. not just live for ourselves. but live for each other! what logical explanation could possibly describe my deep loathing and detest for modern society except a genuine concern for the whole! the problem with pursuing this kind of self-inquiry and life curiosity is that it is often met with ridicule or worse, pity! so it is not for those who want to remain comfortable and silently desperate. doctors will attempt to feed pills to the rebels telling them they are not ‘functioning’ as normal citizens. nor do we intend to! the true rebels will spit in the face of the blind doctrines which threaten even those who are the threats.
and like all paths of inquiry, when pursued far enough, eventually truths are revealed. and like science, these truths are forever falsifiable. in theory…
but facts are facts. principles are principles. the earth is round. what comes up, will come down. we are born, we grow, we die, we rot and become food for other creatures. life goes on…it can be said that suffering is the state of not seeing reality for what it is. but there are also those that are suffering who aren’t even given a choice (see Adaptt link in resources page).

in the end, we are all in the same boat.
with every splash of waves we all get soaked.
