every moment
is an impossibility
we are lucky
to have this crazy world
to be crazy in
it cannot be measured
by any means
this impossibility
we are so few
yet so many
who have prevailed
who get a chance
to smile, to think, to walk
to complain, to breathe, to remember
call it magic
call it God
call it karma
call it love
nice little words
to help us grasp
this impossible task
this life we live
we forget to be entertained
by the simplest things
the greatest gifts
hiding and waiting
for us to become aware
to awaken
we made it
we won the war
we grew up fast
and wanted more
now it’s too soon
to shut off our phones
to turn off our bright lights
to go away
to get lost in the rat race
to find our way
in this impossibility
yet here we are.
