i’ve been a vegan since 2009 with a few hiccups here and there. i’ve tried all kinds of diets and methods and fell for all kinds of scams regarding my health, wealth and happiness. been always looking for extra performance and vitality but we are fooled easy when desperate so gotta stay sharp and humble.
even when things were going well i always wanted more. had the girl, had the band, hand the home, had the community, had the songs, had the opportunities. but i missed the danger so sabotaged everything for shits and giggles to keep the fire burning.
when i learned about the suffering we cause to animals back in 2009 i kind of stopped caring about human suffering. i used veganism as a convenient way to rebel agains the establishment and to this day i think it is by far the most powerful way to go against the herding culture that started 10k years ago at the dawn of agriculture and capitalism when humans became ego driven machines.
to go vegan is to challenge our own hypocrisy. save the animals, you save the planet. and when we do that we save humanity. i truly see this as the only way if you care about anyone or anything long term. otherwise you mineaswell just call it a day and call the reaper.
yes the truth hurts and pretty much everyone i know is a sensitive snowflake who can’t handle any conflict or disagreement or criticism. they will defend their beliefs and biases to the death. even the vegans who are in it for the wrong reasons act like idiots when confronted in debate especially by family and friends. when someone is truly confident and knows what they are talking about, they don’t get upset when attacked. they are bullet proof when it comes to words and mind games. stick and stones might break your bones but names and words can’t hurt you unless you are ignorant and a child. grow up! wake up!
from all my travels and living in hostels where your home country means fuck all and everyone becomes a world citizen, i learned a lot about human nature. i noticed how most people gravitate towards the things they are familiar with and the people who are like them, instead of looking for something new. no matter how young they are, it is the same phenomena. my grandpa always liked to be home and never drift too far. most people are like that too because as soon as you leave the familiar, the adventure begins and that could mean all kinds of risks.
that’s why i always loved travelling solo. and hestitated to stay in one place too long or get attached to scenes and tribes. even when i settled down into a relationship with a girl for a few years, i could feel my inner worlds start to die. with stability comes security and if you wanna be real safe, just live in a hospital and you know what… just get a grave already, buy a nice coffin and say good night!
people are funny creatures.
but learning all this i recognized all these things in myself as well. and i kind of went too far in the opposite side of the spectrum when it comes to sanity and safety. things became a little too unregulated. sure i was free but i was feeling a little unhinged. we are all looking for belonging but also need to learn who we really are be being alone so that we don’t become immoral cowards.
it took me about 40 years and god knows how many lifetimes to get it all right and in balance (you will feel it when it’s there). to fly high but keep your feet on the grand. to feel that manic rush of love flowing wild in the blood and thoughts but to be kind humble and focused. i had to go through all those experiences to learn. too far one way and you fall. too deep and you drown. this is so in creativity, sex, art, play, money, friends, work and fitness.
every day and hour is a yoga pose where you have to find the right point where it’s a little uncomfortable but also pushing it a bit so you feel some tension but pleasure also as blood flows into the tension to open it up and let the kundalini serpent rise up your spine. and then relax in the end with a nice sleep from 21pm to 5am. become a zealot! for truth and love. dogma is good when you follow the right rules. being judgemental is essentail if plan on using words and have beautiful powerful conversations. i welcome counter-ideas to test my values and theories and i don’t wanna be wrong for a moment longer than necessary.
sugar is crucial. you need to feed your cells. and cut out all the extra fat and protein. high carb low fat vegan is SUPREME when it comes to this if you want to feel your best. it feels so good to buy groceries when you know you are only putting in the best stuff for your body, for your planet, for the animals and even for all the people who think you are arrogant and call you a terrible person because they can’t handle the truth.
this year is gonna be incredible. gonna continue hibernating for another 2-3 months to get my affairs in order in finland where i dwell. then hit the road with my songs and my revolution and spread it wherever i go, wherever the road takes me wherever the gods call for me.
now? finishing my morning decaf (been up since 5am) then eat bananas + nuts + celery + hummus. vacuum. re-install macOs on my desktop because i was having some issues. work on the songs. enjoy the day and watch a series called halt and catch fire in the evenings (it’s okay so far, on season 2). reading a lot of books and listening to emerson, lake and palmer + other great stuff.
still gotta figure out how to put all this together into an online business to fund the travel and pay for the dreams so i can give it all back and help others break free from the mundane slavery they keep voluntarily partaking in and then blame others for their problems.
how to connect with these people? i don’t know yet but i suppose becoming the example is a step in the right direction. talk is cheap. anybody can be a keyboard warrior. but stepping into the light and becoming the ceo of your life… is essential if you want true joy and a dopamine rush unlike anything you have ever experienced. and a high that just keeps getting higher without having to ever come down.
stop using drugs and become the drug.
FEEL THE POWER!
