essay on love and light

Many years ago I suddenly found myself aware that I exist. I cannot remember the exact moment. I was already moving and performing other functions. There was music in the air and I gravitated towards it and wanted to go inside the sound. The melodies felt like cotton in my soul (although I didn’t know it then). I began to learn things. Good things. Useful things.

The years came and went. I also learned bad things. Followed false gods and prophets. Now I am here, writing this. Reaching out to someone (you) and sharing what I have created. This is what I do now. This is what I have always done. Even before the awareness. There is a force within that is doing this and I think I am just a passenger. Some days are very difficult when I don’t agree with the passage.

There are counter forces at work as well. Some call them evil maybe. I don’t know about that. For is darkness not just a lack of light and not a “thing” in and of itself? It is just an empty space waiting to be filled. Or FULLfilled. The eternal dance. The Great Perfection.

I am grateful to take part in this even when it hurts and I feel broken. It’s almost as if Light is on a mission to get home by finding darkness and then filling it with life energy. We can help. Or we can rest. We can also oppose and see what happens. You will feel it. Love connects us somehow and ensures that we don’t give up. Even a man who hangs himself is in love with his desire to be free.

It’s all poetry in the end which means there is something mysterious and intoxicating about all this. That’s why we keep on desiring and dreaming of a better life or a different life. I think this ensures our sharpness. Humans are creatures of fantasy and imagination. We create the world we live in even if our creative energy is bound within a fundamental moral infrastructure that governs the universe/multiverse.

And that’s where I come in as a musician.

In fact, I even have a song I have been working on a long time about all this but I added an “e” and an extra “L” to it so it is called GREATFULLNESS. I cannot wait for you to hear it. I think it will be my ticket to the stars. I want to take everyone with me, otherwise I will be there alone. Sometimes when I see an eagle soaring in the sky, I wonder, what must that feel like.
