don’t look back

keep your head cool
and your feet warm
let life be your guide
and death your fall
when you feel surrounded
with darkness and pain
dig a tunnel
and don’t look back

keep your eyes open
and your mouth shut
know that miss your chance
in the flies you swat
when the bridge is burning
at both ends
and you are standing in the middle
learn how to fly
and don’t look back
