BOOK REVIEW: Money Blog by Nathaniel Brenes

Excellent primer on making money online.

Rating: 4/5

I decided to the start the year strong and read 50+ books in 2017 and write reviews for each one on my new website. This way I wouldn’t just be a passive consumer hoarding endless information. I also wanted to make sure that every book I read is part of my main focus this year, which is making online income. And what better way to start then right at the heart of what I am learning to do.

Last year I got bit by the “affiliate marketing” bug and wanted to see what’s possible. After some courses and searches I came across the author of this book after reading one of his product reviews. I joined his mailing list and interacted with Nathaniel after joining an affiliate training center where he also is a member. He’s been very helpful to me and one day I received an email that he has a book out on Amazon that his readers can read for free. I immediately downloaded the book and began reading on the first day of this year. Here is my review.

I really liked the no b.s. tone of the book especially when it’s on a subject where results are what matters in the end. I really appreciated reading about the author’s own struggles early on. And although he says this he is not a motivational kind of writer, I actually found the book quite inspiring, especially the latter half.

The content flowed nicely and was structured in a way that was engaging to follow. I really got the sense that this man is focused and successful at what he does. It is a very serious how-to-do-it kind book that sticks to the main topic without diverging into useless tangents.

The only negative thing I can say is that I found there to be a lot of typos scattered out through the book. I think a proof-read or two would fix this and make the book even better.

This is clearly aimed at beginners (like me) and because the information is very basic, this probably wouldn’t benefit someone who is already further along on the path unless they want to just make sure they have the basics covered.

All in all I’d like to commend the author for getting his first book out there and doing such a stellar job! Great work.
