I decided to take my life in a new direction this year and invested in an online course called Virtual Coach by Eben Pagan. I also got his latest book “Opportunity” as a nice complement to the course which is exactly what it turned out to be. This was the first book of 2019 for me (my goal is to read 100 this year) and I really enjoyed the book. Eben shares his worldview and story in a very conceptual way. There is quite a lot of overlap with all the materials in the course I am taking so it’s good to get repetition of everything he writes about here. I like that he also shares his personal triumphs and struggles. This is very refreshing. It’s not easy to trust all these online business sharks. Eben is one of the good guys. I think he is smarter than most of this competitors. And he’s been around long enough to know what the game is all about. He’s also had the success to qualify him to write this kind of book. There were quite a few typos in the book. I noticed that the upcoming re-release has a subtitle added which is good. I also think the organisation of the book could have a tighter structure. And get those page numbers on kindle version. But since this is the first version, I won’t let that take down my rating too much. Overall, this was a good read. Really makes you think and see the world in a new way. One of the best business books I have ever read. If you are feeling stuck in your dead-end job, read this and start here.
