I’ve been trying to figure out the vegan diet for the last 12 years. Just doesn’t work for me. It’s a beautiful idea for a different kind of world. But I don’t think it works for most people. We need to drop all these stupid diets and ideologies and find a way to come together on these things instead of the constant wars and fighting. Vegans are dependant on their identities and personal brands to maintain their stance even if it is not working. Been there, done that. And who knows what’s going on behind the scenes. Eating a “whole foods plant based diet” without all the junk? Nobody is doing that. It’s an incredible bland diet and I have never met anyone who ACTUALLY eats that way. Have you? At least they are not in my circles. That said, I do feel for the animals in factories if I allow myself to. But at the supermarket I am able to disconnect from that. Again, the world we live in. Or maybe I am evil scum. The Gods are laughing. Meanwhile in Syria…

I agree. We have to make choices, we can’t save everyone. And most vegans I’ve met are arrogant hippocrites! |
