This is the website of MRN. That’s me.
Markus Rafael Nylund.
I wanted to create my own website.
Like my music, my poetry and everything else I do,
I like to do things my way.
I think the website has become an integral part of the modern
musician’s palette. The times have changed.
Ever since the rise of the great music business industry
and the birth of the rock stars, MTV, corporate marketing might, etc.
and all of the stuff that is the enemy
of genuine art fueled by inspiration not expectation
the distance between musician and listener has become ever increasing.
I think it has begun to look better lately with the internet.
On the internet, music fans only want one thing:
good music.
The big guns are running out of ammo.
Those who can still make and handle a wooden spear,
will prevail.
But many musicians don’t know much about web coding or design.
I’m not really an exception…
So don’t expect some big flash virtual explosion to grab your ass/boob
or something.
It’s just me. A nice simple font.

We’ll get all that fancy stuff happening later. If it is even necessary.
Heck, speaking of explosions,
I wouldn’t be surprised if my computer did explode
considering the memory-racking torture it has been through
while making my new album for the last 5 months…
