Got this from a friend who gave me a bunch of books when he moved to another country. Been sitting on my shelf for 8 months and I finally read it. Never been a fan of the band but enjoyed his writing and made me want to give Wilco another chance. Always thought their songs are ok but not great (at least the ones i heard). Or maybe it wasn’t the right time. Lots of poignant, sharp, funny thoughts on the artist/poet life in these pages. Just can’t really relate with the family stuff, wife, kids, success, house but at the same time I am happy for his kids that they have such a cool dad. Enjoyed the poems in the end. Good guy.
