Bought this used for a few euros. Wanted to try something different. I don’t think I’ve read a thriller detective novel for 15 years so thought what the hell, it might be fun. The author is unknown to me and this book is from the early 90s. It starts off well, the writing flows nicely. But the story goes nowhere so I decided to give up after 200 pages because I thought, what is the point of this when I don’t care anymore at all what happens. The characters are incredibly dull and the plot has no suspense or energy. Everyone is miserable and lifeless. Not sure why it got published.
