I don’t agree with the premise of this book. And I think it takes the author too long to present it. Yes, thoughts are important but not in so much as what we say but how we think. You cannot control the thoughts that arise but you can learn to work with the way you interpret them and how you react. Sure, you can repeat some mantras now and then which can help with getting focused. But all this nonsense of programming your subconscious is a self-help life-coaching real-estate dream that does not work on its own. You also need other things: meditation/mindfulness, exercise, nutrition, skill development/mastery, community, connection and like Ken Wilber says: wake up and grow up.
