I found this book a little dull overall. It’s a fascinating topic that I hadn’t really studied before in depth. But I wanted more practical applications and kept on hoping for at least a chapter in the end or even conclusion about what we can all do starting now. The author is a medical doctor who writes like a journalist so it is engaging to read. Unfortunately it just never really took off.
I especially wanted to know more about his own skin care routines and the reasoning behind only using soap for hands. This is something I am gonna explore myself. It seems to me that most of these products we buy to clean our bodies and homes are stuff we don’t need. Not only that, they are harmful. That is my current intuition but I need to investigate more and experiment.
