to carry the torch
of truth and light
like great men carried
long before i was born
and those who’ll continue the work
long after i’m gone
eventually the edge
will consume me
as well
black rainbows painted
on the faces of naked angels
this is my manifesto
of hope and redemption
in case they get to me
before it’s too late
i write
and create
well as of yet unformed youthful minds
our fathers have failed us
and our friends are dead
the bullet factories
gone out of business
the human force
more deadlier
than ever before
