when hearts hurt like hell
when the healing has begun
the very core of our being
shattered into oblivion
and nobody knows why
you can see it in those sad eyes
maybe love breaks us open
so we learn
about the forces of life
hate blinds us to see clearly
drives us through the dark
to find inner light
but now i just gotta stay alive somehow
