We all do it. Even when we are talking about how other people do it and how much we dislike it when others do it (and even being the reason for disliking them). See the contradiction? People are funny creatures like that. Same thing with judging others. We don’t like to be judged and we love telling others not to judge. But this is also a judgement. Who are we to say who can judge and who cannot? People are really hilarious. We are so darn stupid within the parameteres of our own presumed intelligence. Never ceases to amuse me when I let it. Language is judgement. That’s what the left side of our brain does. That’s what we do. We judge and manipulate. We are masters at manipulating whether it’s our environment or social situations or our lives or other people. That’s how we got this far. We manipulated to a degree that other creatures were left to their own devices as slaves of their own intuitions. Oh but here’s where things really start getting out of hand. We. Have. Not. Got. Far. At. All. We just think we have. The point where things stop begin funny is when we start to self-righteously think we are beyond hypocricy. So lets add another fun word to the list (with gossip, judging, manipulating, hypocricy, etc): DELUDED. Oh yeah. We love that. I can speak for myself. Even my last post. I spent a considerable amount of time writing that post about being thirty and starting to search for happiness as if I have been trying to avoid it. And especially the part about having reached mastery in the artistic process (if I truly had, I would be the new Da Vinci). Wow. I even overdid myself there with that lie. It’s incredible the lenghts we (or at least me) will go to, to feed the mass collective confusions and delusions regarding my own existence and meaning on this earth. Of course I even tell myself that I have made newfound gains on my wonderfuly new journey (ie. the hunt for happiness). Well I have actually, I’ve learned that we all fear death immensely. And our lives are possibly nothing more than an immortality project. We go as far as we can to avoid the hard truths. The truth of what we are, where we come from and where we will all eventually go. Lets not kid ourselves. We are still in the jungle. In the wild. Our habitat is sophisticated for sure. I can communicate with you unlike other creatures can. But so can they in ways we will never even understand.
