Life is all about attitude. Your best day can be your worst if you want to see it that way. Of course your worst day can be your best if you look at it positively and embrace the power of learning from struggle. Life throws many disguises, distractions and illusions at us. To grow is to become better at seeing reality for what it really is. Unfortunately getting older does not equal growth for many people.

I have learned a very deep truth recently. To really know something is to first recognize truth and then be the truth, live it, feel it, experience it. Example: You want to have higher self-esteem which means you think you have low self-esteem. The problem is already in that thought. The secret to happiness is to just decide to be happy right now. Feel good right now. Not when you are older, when you have this or that, not tomorrow. Right now. To understand the power of now, you really have to just become it. Otherwise it’s just cool facts to impress others in conversations. Knowledge is meaningless if you don’t breathe it in and exhale it out. The truths to life which are the most powerful are independent from ideas, concepts or systems. They are simple. Life is simple. The complex is made up of simple parts.

There are two kinds of people; those you get along with and those you don’t. The challenge is to get along with people that don’t get along with you. I have always wondered why some people become good friends but friends of friends might not even get along. Isn’t it the same essential qualities that we seek when forming friendships or any relationships? I think there are two answers to this: a) some people don’t always have very high standards when it comes to relationships; they rely on people who have known them long (family, school friends) and settle for what they got b) Many people don’t act very openly to strangers who they don’t trust. I believe that among the strangers you never talk to, there is an endless amount of potential soul mates, husbands/wives & best friends that remain forever to be unexplored.
