Looking Ahead

I’ve been on this path for 10 years now keeping a very low profile. I’ve played in a few bands. I’ve travelled around with my guitar playing hundreds and hundreds of shows in many countries. I’ve recorded a few albums which I released myself. I’ve experimented with different ways of approaching my art-form and it’s taking me some time to figure who I am as an artist, how I want to present myself and also developing my talents as a songwriter and performer to the level I feel they should be at. I’ve learned a lot and grown immensely. I’m glad things have gone the way they have. Now I know who I am, what I need to do and how to do it. I know the name of the game and I am finally ready to play it, master it and… go beyond it.

Currently flying solo and working on new recordings. Looking for musicians, designers, filmmakers, photographers, businesspersons to build a team with. Contact me for an audition and interview or send me your portfolio/epk/cv if you are interested in working with me.

Looking Ahead

The month started well. Some drinking and smoking with friends, playing music, celebrating our desperate existence and injecting some wild adventure into the shallow spirit of the city with our revolver attitudes. Now I am stuck in the middle of the week where the real sparks fly inside the engines of creation. It’s a hot cycle. I write best during the early morning hours. It’s when the struggle is at it’s peak. It’s when I most need to break free from the madness.

I’ve recorded two albums (available on the ‘music’ page) and I must confess that I am not really satisfied with either one. This is a problem when these things are meant to be promoted. I do not stand behind them. Why? Because they don’t portray me in an honest way (not just musically). They are not bad albums per se but I feel like they are just not… me. However, this is understandable because at the times that they were created, I didn’t really have a way. Just a bunch of pieces scattered around the shoreline, waiting for the ocean’s roar to randomly suck them in to the sea. I never was able to see the big picture. But they needed to be made to help me see things more clearly. To see where I really want to go with my music.

I have thus decided to shelve the old albums or at least disassociate myself from them. I am at work once again on new recordings which is really what I do best and enjoy the most (along with wine, women & writing). Some of the older songs/lyrics will re-emerge but in a different way. It is a dark, raw beauty that I am here to express to the world. When the rage is not there in the right way or when it becomes too “nice” and colorful, my boots decline to stomp, my darkness refuses to shine and I become another slave of fate; another turd waiting to be squeezed out, which is the last thing a reincarnated viking explorer & conqueror like me desires.
