What is the point of one person’s review of something? These big fancy magazines dedicate a full article written by one person on an album or movie or book or whatever. So is his opinion somehow supposed to resemble everybody’s opinion? I always glance through magazines curiously to see how my favorite albums have been reviewed. These journalists who write these reviews certainly know how to use language but as far as i’m concerned they don’t know anymore about music or anything for that matter than anybody else. Everybody gets their own opinion and people like different things. I would love a magazine that has their whole staff work collectively on a review so it would be more of a general opinion. The new Q magazine gave the new Guns N’ Roses album 2 stars out of 5. They called the album soulless. Wow. Axl Rose only worked on it for 14 years. Now some people are gonna read this review and at work they will discuss and say how crap it is even though they haven’t even actually properly listened to the album just like the reviewer probably hasn’t done. That’s the way the world works. People are so easily spoonfed all this garbage and it just grows and grows and that’s why most people have completely lost themselves and have no identity or personality. They dress the way they are told to and do things they think they are supposed to be done and never dare to challenge even themselves. The superficial world can be so phony. Sometimes it can really make me sick you know. Why do I care so much? Because I feel like somebody is walking through my home and throwing trash on the floor. And the new Guns N’ Roses album is fucking amazing in MY opinion. I always knew that Guns N’ Roses is Axl Rose. He is a mad genius.
